Students save time and money with articulations

For those looking to continue their education in graduate school, the Mount offers several articulation options that allow qualified students to save money, shave time off of their degree completion, or obtain early or guaranteed admission into a variety of prestigious academic tracks.

Other articulation programs allow students to begin their undergraduate work at other institutions and finish their degrees here at the Mount, transferring their earned credits quickly and easily. The Mount currently has articulation agreements like these with Dutchess County Community College, SUNY Orange, Rockland County Community College, and more.

Here are two of the Mount’s newest articulation programs.

Northeast College’s Doctor of Chiropractic program

A recent partnership with Northeast College of Health Sciences allows Mount students who are majoring in specific science programs the option of participating in either the 4+3 or 3+3 articulation tracks while pursuing the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Northeast.

The 3+3 articulation option allows students to earn their undergraduate degree at the Mount and – when the required GPA has been maintained – be automatically accepted to Northeast. This option is open to students at the Mount majoring in the Biology major: general Biology, Exercise Science, Interdisciplinary Studies Biology, and Exercise Science concentrations.

The 4+3 articulation option allows students to earn their bachelor’s degree from the Mount and their Northeast College doctor of chiropractic degree a full year in advance than it would take to earn each of those degrees individually. This option is open to students at the Mount majoring in Interdisciplinary Biology and Exercise Sciences, general Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology concentration, Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology concentration, and Exercise Sciences.

With guided support from both institutions, students avoid spending time and money on unnecessary coursework and begin their path to Northeast by submitting a Letter of Intent, signed by their undergraduate advisor.

Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls, N.Y., was founded in 1919 and is recognized as a leading institution for the education and training of healthcare professionals. The college’s graduate and undergraduate academic programs in areas such as chiropractic, nutrition, human anatomy instruction, massage therapy, and the imaging sciences are rooted in Northeast’s mission and commitment to academic excellence, leadership and professional best practices.
