Service and scholarship
As a group of 14 Mount students and faculty boarded their flight to Florence, Italy, this summer, it marked the first step in the journey of a lifetime – as well as the rebirth of the college’s Study Abroad program.
From mentoring local children to raising funds for local charities, the Spring 2023 semester once again saw our Knights in the community.
As the Mount began the Fall 2022 semester, the college’s Board of Trustees approved a proposal to create the Mount’s third school: The School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE).
The Division of Humanities recently added two new programs to the college’s list of majors: Philosophy and Theology and Religious Studies. The Mount has also announced a new articulation agreement with SUNY Orange.

Commencement 2023
Overcast skies and a rainy forecast didn’t disrupt the bright atmosphere at the Mount’s 60th annual Commencement Ceremony, which recognized nearly 500 graduates on Saturday, May 20.
Commencement marked the end of an academic journey at the Mount for nearly 500 graduates – and the beginning of a new adventure into grad school or the start of a career. Here’s what’s next for several stellar Mount alumni from the Class of 2023.
Right before Commencement, graduating Mount seniors were recognized for their dedication to academics and the community at the annual Senior Awards ceremony.
The day before Commencement, the Mount honored nearly 80 graduates of its prestigious Nursing program at a pinning ceremony.
MSMC Knights
Nearly 80 Mount student-athletes were recently named to the Skyline Conference 2023-24 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.
The Women’s Track and Field team put in a phenomenal performance, finishing as runner-up at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship as well as snagging third at the 2023 Skyline Conference Championship Meet.
Mount Saint Mary College named new head coaches for Women’s Basketball and Men’s and Women’s Tennis.
The beloved coach passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y., late this spring. She was 76 years old.
